The Referendum Council website educates Australians on constitutional recognition for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and offers an online platform to make your voice heard.

The role of the council is to advise the Prime Minister and the Leader of the Opposition on the progress of the national discussion and recommend the next steps towards a successful referendum to recognise Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in the Constitution.

The Council is consulting with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people across the country on what form any constitutional recognition should take. All Australians can also have their say through the website and on social media through the 'Join the conversation' feature, which aims to help people engage with the topic.

The site also offers discussion papers, reports, publications, news and opinion articles on constitutional recognition to help educate Australians about this topic.

Visit the Referendum Council webpage and join the conversation.
